get involved
All the work delivered by our mission partnership in El Salvador and the United States is run by talented volunteers who give of their time, network, and resources. We are excited that our mission conitnues to grow every year. Below you will see several areas that we highlighted where we need additional support. We are looking for individuals who are passionate and interested in leading and supporting these efforts.
Giving Your Talents: Heartland International Mission is always looking for talented individuals who can give of their time. We need committee members with organizational, management, communication, fundraising, event planning, marketing, research and/or congregational communication skills.
Areas You Can Get Involved In:
Financial Donation: Financial donations are vital to the success of mission; these are always needed and appreciated.
General Support: every mission is only successful as the financial capabilities supporting it. As we walk in solidarity with our brothers and sisters in El Salvador, it is our intention to help them create sustainable change and further their personal and community self development. Funding resources are vital to their success.
We help through funding projects that support the development of:
Clean water: there is a lack of clean water supply in rural El Salvador. The water available is then highly polluted causing disease and infant mortality.
Self development: building schools and funding teachers. In rural areas, there is 62% poverty level. Families with low income cannot afford to send their children to school and instead have to work. Increase employment opportunities and self development.
Economic development: electricity, fertilizer, micro loans
Communication & Support: Effective communication builds connected relationships.
Listen, love and grow.
Communicate with your missionary and let them know they and their work is in our prayers
Let them know what is happening in our church and lives at home
Listen to the missionary and be responsive to what they are hearing, seeing, and feeling
Care packages: often the missionary doesn't have the comforts of home. Help them and let them know we are thinking of them.
